| Alice
F. (Nearn) Donnelly, age 61 years of Toledo,
OH, died Wednesday, April 25, 2007 in her
home. Born July 23, 1945 in Benton Harbor
, MI , she was the daughter of James D.
and Rosie M. ( Ferguson ) Nearn. Alice was
first married to Kenneth Duncan on October
30, 1961 . She then married David Donnelly
on July 26, 1975 in Sylvania, OH. Alice
owned and operated Elder Care by Alice in
Toledo during the late 90's after which
she retired due to health issues. Prior,
she owned and operated Alyce's Restaurant
in Toledo during the mid 70's. She received
her LPN degree from Northwestern Ohio Practical
Nurse Training Center in Toledo, OH in 1983.
She possessed great leadership & organizational
skills, becoming the planner of many family
events. She had a generous, giving spirit
and touched many peoples' lives. Alice was
a devoted wife, Mother and Grandmother,
who loved spending time with and doing things
for all her family. She enjoyed crocheting,
flower gardening, and researching the family
genealogy.
Surviving
are her loving husband, David. Children,
Kenda (Richard) Baker of Bangor, MI, Scott
(Lisa) Duncan of Dacula, GA, Lisa (David)
Stowe of Reynolds Station, KY, David (Natalie)
Donnelly, Jr. of Dacula, GA, and Darci Duncan
of Brownstown Twp., MI. Brother, William
F. Nearn of Hartford, MI. 12 grandchildren
and 2 great grandchildren. Alice was preceded
in death by her parents, 7 sisters and 1
brother.
Visitation
will be held Sunday from 2-8 pm at the Langeland
Funeral Home, 622 S. Burdick Street, Kalamazoo,
MI, where funeral services will be held
Monday at 11:00 am .
Interment will follow at Hope Cemetery,
Texas Corners, MI. Pastor Richard Mendez
Collins, officiating. Memorials may be made
to Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Arrangements
