Ferne M. Zink, age 83 years of Temperance, MI, died Tuesday, December 16, 2008 at Flower Hospital, Sylvania, OH.  Born Nov. 24, 1925 in Toledo, Oh, she was the daughter of James and Gertrude (Beckwith) Kinney.  A graduate from the former Temperance High School, she married Chester H. Zink on  July 5, 1945.  He preceded her in death on May 11, 2005.  Ferne was a Teller at National City Bank at the Miracle Mile branch in Toledo for 14 years, retiring in 1987.  She was also a member of Bedford Alliance Church in Temperance. 

Ferne is survived by her loving children, Diana (Larry) Sayre of Valdosta, GA and Gary (Marla) Zink of Ottawa Lake, MI.  5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. 

Visitation will be from 11:00 am – 12:00 noon Friday at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, where funeral services will follow at 12:00 noon.  Rev. Brian Sayre, Ferne’s grandson and Rev. Robert Hinz, pastor of Bedford Alliance Church, will officiate.  Memorial may be made to the Bedford Alliance Church.
