Esther E. (Morrette) Zeman, 79 of Lambertville, MI, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, October 16, 2010 in Mercy St. Anne Hospital. Born Nov. 12, 1930 in Toledo, OH, she was the daughter of Claude and Grace (Uhler) Morrette. She was a 1948 graduate of Whitmer High School where she was a varsity cheerleader for 4 years and was also a member of the bowling team. She continued to bowl for several years after, carrying a 175 average and subbing in the Queen’s League. She married Jerry Zeman on February 14, 1976. She was employed by Champion Spark Plug for 18 years, retiring in 1987. Esther was a member of Bridgepoint Church in Temperance, MI. She enjoyed spending the winters in Florida and traveling. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend. Esther continued to support and be active in the lives of her grandchildren and great grandchildren in all their endeavors right up to the end.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jerry. Son, Rick (Debi) Stevens. Daughters, Tamarra (Dennis) McMaken, Tracy (Arnold) Meiring, and Step-son, Ron Zeman. Sister, Fran Swartz. 10 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Esther was preceded in death by her parents and 9 siblings.
Visitation will be from 2-9 pm Monday at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd., (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 am. Reverend Craig Killinen, pastor of Bridgepoint Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Bridgepoint Church. |
