| Richard “Butch” Zeller, age 68 of Temperance, MI, died Monday, May 25, 2009 in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, OH. Born Oct. 4, 1940 in Toledo, Oh, he was the son of Clarence J. and Thoretta R. (Carr) Zeller. A US Navy veteran he married Patricia E. Winkle on May 25, 1963. Butch was employed as a grinder by the Dana Corporation for 30 ½ years, where he also active with the Dana Volunteer Fire Dept. Dana Quarter Century Club and the Dana Golf League. He retired in 1993. He was also a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Temperance, MI.
Butch is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Patricia “Peanut”. Children, Margie (Slayton) Forsythe, Jr. of Ashland, TN, Chrissy (Gary) Silwester of Blissfield, MI and John “JP” Zeller of Temperance, MI. Brother, Clarence “Bud” (Joan) Zeller, Jr. of Toledo, OH. Sisters, Sylvia Stein of Peabody, MA and Ruth (Jim) Alford of Frostproof, FL. 3 grandchildren, Eli, Jack and Angelica, 4 ½ great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be Thursday from 2-9 pm at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, L.L.C., 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where scripture services will be held Thursday at 7:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday at 10:30 am in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, where he will lie in state after 9:30 am. Fr. John Currin, officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church or The Relay For Life. |
