Robert
“Bob” L. White, 81 years of Toledo, OH died
Wednesday, October 25, 2006 in St. Vincent
Mercy Medical Center , Toledo . Born July
30, 1925 in Lauderdale County, AL, he was
the son of Walter and Velma (Williams) White.
He married Lillie Maye Venable on Jan. 13,
1945. She preceded him in death on Sept.
19, 1992 . Bob was employed as a glass worker
for Pilkington (formerly L.O.F.) in Rossford,
OH for 32 years, retiring in 1980. He was
a member of the AFL-CIO, Local 9 in Toledo.
He was a major promoter for 40 years and
performer of Bluegrass Music in the Tri
State area for over 60 years. He was a member
of the International Bluegrass Music Association.
Surviving
are his loving children, Gloria Christian
of Lambertville , MI , Donnie (Brenda) White
of Toledo, OH, Jan (Tom) Stiles of Sylvania,
OH and Joni (Don) Coats of Sylvania, OH.
Brother, Michael White of Loretto, TN. Sisters,
Connie White of Lawrenceburg, TN and Deb
(Steve) Beckman of Loretto, TN. 10 grandchildren
and 16 great grandchildren. Bob was also
preceded in death by Son in law, Clay Christian.
Visitation
will be held Friday from 3-9 pm at the Michael
W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at
Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services
will be held Saturday at 1:00 pm. Interment
will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
Pastor Ed Young of Faith Baptist Church
in Lambertville, MI, officiating. Memorials
may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
