Letha Agnes Ware, age 86, died Tuesday, February 9, 2010 in Fair Havens Christian Home, Decatur, IL. Born May 22, 1923 in Bedford Twp., MI, she was the daughter of Reuben and Bernice (Kittie) Whiting. A 1941 graduate of the former Lambertville High School, she married Basil N. Ware on March 5, 1943 in Samaria, MI where they lived all of their lives until moving to Decatur, IL in 2002. Before her retirement Letha was employed as a cake decorator for Ansted’s Bakery in Toledo, OH and Churchill’s in Sylvania, OH.
She is survived by her loving husband, Basil, and daughter, Barbara (Douglas) Dove and daughter-in-law Patsy (Ware) Bihn. Also surviving are 4 grandchildren, Kimberly (Rich) Taylor, Stephen (Susan) Dove, Alexander (Lisa) Dove, and Jennifer (Joe) Brower as well as 7 great grandchildren, Jessica, David, Danny, Alison, Hanna, Delaney, and Sophia. Letha was preceded in death by her son, David N. Ware and her sister, Arleen Brown as well as her parents Bernice and Reuben Whiting.
Visitation will be from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm Sunday, Feb. 14, at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will be held Monday, Feb. 15, at 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial Park, Sylvania, OH. Memorials may be given to Fair Havens Christian Home or a charity of the donors choice. |
