Frances I. Walker, 86 Years of Temperance, MI, died Saturday, November 21, 2009 at Hickory Ridge of Temperance.  Born April 11, 1923 in Pigeon, MI, she was the daughter of Claude and Bertha (Parker) Asher.  She married Leland Walker on Oct. 24, 1942 in Ubly, MI.  He preceded her in death on Aug. 22, 1986.  Frances was a house wares manager of the former Bargain City Stores in Toledo, OH for 22 years, retiring in 1985.  She was a member of Lambertville United Methodist Church and former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Lambertville V.F.W., Post 3925.  She was a devoted wife, mother, loving grandmother and great grandmother.  She loved life and having fun with her family and friends.  She will be greatly missed by all. 

Frances is survived by her loving daughters, Diana (Michael) Grabowski and Linda (Gene) Bierbusse.  Brother, Earl (Bernice) Asher, 7 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2-8 pm Monday at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 am.  Interment will follow at Whiteford Union Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to Erie West Hospice.  The family would like to thank Hickory Ridge of Temperance and Erie West Hospice for their loving and compassionate care.
