| Donald “Don” W. Vogel, age 70 years of Temperance, MI, died Monday, September 22, 2008 in Grayling, MI. Born Sept. 30, 1937 in Toledo, OH, he was the son of John and Luella (Trabbic) Vogel. A US Army veteran, he married Betty Matz on March 24, 1987 in Las Vegas, NV. Don owned and operated Don’s Mobile in Lambertville, MI from 1962-1976. He then worked for Norton Grimes in Toledo and Bob’s Mobile in Temperance for several years, retiring in 1991. He was also a member of the Bedford Volunteer Fire Department in Lambertville, MI for several years.
Surviving are his loving wife, Betty. Children, Danelle DuPois, Debbie Schmidt, Dana (Dave) Copiac, Donald (Nancy) Vogel, James (Brandy) Matz, Cheryl (Josh) Sinischo, and Shellie (Bryan) Oehlers. Brother, Louis (Pat) Vogel. 16 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Jack Vogel.
Visitation will be held from 2-7 pm Thursday at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where the Bedford Volunteer Fire Dept will perform the Last Call service Thursday at 6:30 pm with funeral services following at 7:00 pm.
