Richard “Dick” C. Tyson, 62 years of Toledo , OH , died unexpectedly Tuesday, May 17, 2005 in his home. Born July 2, 1942 in Toledo , he was the son of Orrin and Pauline (Terrill) Tyson. A US Army veteran, he married Darlene Yeager on Nov. 21, 1969 in Toledo . He was employed as a carpenter for 35 years with local 248 in Toledo. He retired in 1998. Dick enjoyed fishing, NASCAR, hunting and spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving is his loving wife, Darlene. Children, Kelly Tyson of Maumee, OH, Robyn Tyson of Sylvania, OH and Tony (Michelle) Tyson of Toledo, OH. Brothers, James (Betty) Tyson of Fayette, OH, Robert (Lorraine) Tyson of Lambertville, MI and Kenneth (Yvonne) Tyson of Wauseon, OH. Sister, Alma Morton of Archbold , OH , Sister in law, Bonnie Tyson of LaSalle, MI . Grandchildren, Tyler, Taylor, Tiffany, Cierra, Kaitlyn, Samantha, Chris and Melody and several nieces and nephews. Dick was preceded in death by his parents, and 1 brother, Orrin Tyson, Jr.

Friends may call from 2-9 pm Monday in the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Road (at Jackman), where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
