| Raymond P. Thieroff, age 91 years of Lambertville, MI, and formerly of Lake Worth, Fl and Silver Spring, MD, died Saturday, August 16, 2008 at Aspen Grove Assisted Living, Lambertville, MI. Born July 10, 1917 in Beaverdam, VA, he was the son of William and Goldie Mae (Handley) Thieroff. He married Anna Louise Cromer on May 18, 1939, she preceded him in death on Jan. 27, 1990.
On April 6, 1991, he married Ruth Hanneman in Lake Worth, FL. She preceded him in death on May 26, 2005. Raymond was a meter technician for Potomac Electric Power CO in Washington, DC for 36 years, retiring in 1976. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Toledo, OH.
Raymond was also preceded in death by a daughter, Paula Jo Eskesen and brother, Carroll W. Thieroff,
He is survived by his son, Michael H. (Jean) Thieroff of Lambertville, MI, 5 grandchildren, Nancy (Stephen) Rhodes, Carol (David) Berstein, Tracy Parker, John (Julia) Thieroff and Mark (Rhona Wilson) Thieroff and 14 great grandchildren. There will be no visitation. Services will be private at Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA Memorials may be made to Erie West Hospice, Lambertville, MI or the Growing in Christ Fund of Trinity Lutheran Church, 4560 Glendale Ave., Toledo, OH 43614. |
