Richard “Dick”
H. Swan, age 50 years of Mesa, AZ, and formerly
of Temperance, MI, died Friday, March 23,
2007 in his home. Born Aug. 6, 1956 in Toledo,
OH, he was the son of Howard and Elizabeth
(Carpenter) Swan. Dick was a 1975 graduate
from Bedford High School and a 1980 graduate
from Eastern Michigan University where he
received his Bachelors Degree in Music.
He was a Teacher and Band Director for the
Hopi and Pima Indian Reservation in Sacaton,
AZ since 1981.
Surviving
are his parents, Howard and Beth Swan of
Temperance, MI, brother, Robert “Bob” Swan
of LosVegas, NV and sister, Kathy Swan of
Temperance, MI.
Visitation
will be held Friday from 2-9 pm at the Michael
W. Pawlak Funeral Home, where funeral services
will be held Saturday at 11:00 am. Interment
will follow at Erie Union Cemetery, Erie,
MI. Reverend Marc Swan, officiating. Memorials
may be made to Sacaton Elementary School
, Sacaton, AZ.
