Matilda
“Mae” T. Strugarek, age 85 years of Temperance,
MI, died Tuesday, October 23, 2007 in Flower
Hospital . Born June 25, 1922 in Toledo,
OH, she was the daughter of William P. and
Edith M. (Naber) Hoffman. A 1941 graduate
of the former Lambertville High School ,
Mae married Stephen Strugarek on June 21,
1952 in St. Anthony Catholic Church in Temperance,
MI. He preceded her in death on October
29, 1993 . She was a member of Our Lady
of Mt. Carmel Church in Temperance, MI,
where she was active in the Keen-Agers,
the Bedford Senior Center, Monroe Senior
Center, the and Ladies Auxiliary of the
American Legion #192, Sherman Osborn Post
in Temperance, MI.
She
is survived by her loving children, William
(Marianne) Strugarek of Spelter, WV, LaDonna
Slifco of Westcliffe, CO, Cynthia Loreto
of Tucson, AZ and Robert (Lisa) Strugarek
of Erie, MI. Brothers, Joseph (Connie) Hoffman
of Temperance, MI and William P. (Sue) Hoffman
of Meza, AZ. 9 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren,
3 great grandchildren and 5 step great grandchildren.
Visitation
will be held from 3-9 pm Sunday at the Michael
W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Road
, Temperance, MI. Mass of Christian Burial
will be Monday at 10:30 am in Our Lady of
Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Temperance,
MI, where she will lie in state after 9:30
am . Fr. Daniel Nusbaum, pastor of the church,
officiating. Interment in the church cemetery.
Memorials may be made to St. Joseph School,
Erie, MI.
