Rita
A. Stobinski, age 75 of Temperance Mi, died
Tuesday, Nov. 7, 2006 in Hospice of N.W.
Ohio, Toledo. Born Oct. 4, 1931 in Erie
Mi, she was the daughter of Walter and Hazel
(DuVall) Lewis. Rita married Chester Stobinski
on Oct. 28, 1950 in Erie MI. Rita
was a 1949 graduate from Central Catholic
High School in Toledo, OH. Her employment
years included jobs at Ottawa River Paper
Co., Dana Corp., K-Mart, and Sharon Manfacturing,
retiring from C.T.I. in New Boston Mi. in
1993. Rita
was a member of Our Lady of Mt Carmel Catholic
Church in Temperance, Bedford Senior Center,
And the Ladies Auxiliary, VFW Post #3925
in Erie, MI, Receiving awards for Most Outstanding
Overall Cancer Program, and Best Cancer
Educational Program. She had crocheted over
80 afghans for family, friends, and the
V.A. Hospital. She volunteered at the Village
Players in Toledo and delivered mobile meals
for the Bedford Senior Center.
She
is survived by her sons, Ronald (Sue) of
Ottawa Hills. Blain (Julie) of Temperance,
Chet Jr. of Toledo, and Dr. Alan (Amy) Stobinski
of Swanton. OH. Daughters Kathleen (Ronald)
Judy of Oregon, OH. Brenda Berns of Maumee,
OH and Aimee Wehrle of Temperance, MI. Sisters,Elrose
(Stan) Deehan of Canada, Ruth Winkler of
Temperance, Janet (Jim) Parran, Angela LaPlante,
bother Raymond (MaryJane) Lewis all of Erie,

Grandchildren, 4 Great-grandchildren and
2 Step-Grandchildren and 2 Step-great grandchildren
of La. Rita
was preceded in death by her Husband Chester
in 1995, Brothers, Howard and Walter (Rosalie)
Lewis. Sister, Helena (William) Turner and
step great granddaughter, Brianna Judy.
Visitation
will be held Thursday from 2-9 pm at the
Michael W Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith
Road (at Jackman) Temperance, MI where the
VFW, Post 3925, will conduct services at
7:00 pm with a special tribute following
at 7:30 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will
be held Friday at 11:00 am at Our Lady of
Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, Temperance,
MI where she will lie in state after 10:00
am. Memorials may be made to the Bedford
Senior Center, Ladies Aux, VFW Post #3925
in Erie MI or HOSPICE of Northwest Ohio.
