William
“Bill” Staley, 84 years of Toledo , died
Sunday,November 7, 2004 in the Hospice of
Northwest Ohio – Toledo . Born Feb. 8, 1920
in Toledo , OH , he was the son of August
and Mary Ann (Fisher) Staley. He married
Betty Jane Payne on Oct. 16, 1939 in Toledo
. Bill was employed as a set man for the
Spicer Division of the Dana Corporation
for 40 ½ years, retiring in 1981.
A member of the Black Swamp Carving Club
and U.A.W., Local 12, he enjoyed fishing,
traveling and wood carving.
He
is survived by his loving wife, Betty. Son,
William (Carol Ann) Staley. Granddaughters,
Cynthia (Doug) Brunt and Michele (Jeff)
Schultz. Great grandchildren, Douglas, Shannon
& Heather Brunt, Chelsea, Aaron and
Andrew Schultz and great great grandson,
Braiden Michael Brunt. Brother, Edward (Leona)
Staley and Sister, Anna May Simms. Bill
was preceded in death by his parents and
1 brother, Harold.
Friends
may call from 2-9 p.m. Tuesday in the Michael
W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Road
(one mile North of Alexis Rd.) where funeral
services will be held Wednesday at 10:00
a.m. Rev. Jerry Craig, officiating. Interment
will follow in Whiteford Union Cemetery.
