Shirley
Swan Smith, age 70 years of Erie, MI, died
Sunday, September 17, 2006 in St. Vincent
Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, OH. Born September
15, 1936 in Corry, PA, she was the daughter
of Lewis and Mildred (Fullom) Swan. A 1954
graduate of Bedford High School, she married
Paul Smith on Dec. 24, 1954 in Temperance,
MI. Shirley sold real estate for the past
20 years, most recently for Danberry in
Temperance, MI. She was a member of the
O.E.S., Chapter 391, Samaria, MI, where
she had been Past Worthy Matron. Shirley
was preceded in death by her parents, an
infant son and sister, Charlotte Smith.
Surviving
is her loving husband, Paul. Children, Jeannelle
(Tom) Hart of Ottawa Hills, OH, Jeffrey
(Lori) Smith of Garfield Heights, OH, Greg
(Anita) Smith of Santa Clarita, CA, Scott
(Lisa) Smith of Westchester, OH and Todd
(Drea) Smith of Seal Beach, CA. Brothers,
Howard (Beth) Swan of Temperance, MI, Arthur
(Lori) Swan of Toledo, OH, Arnold Swan of
Washington, Tommy (Sandi) Swan of Temperance,
MI, Raymond Swan of Erie, MI, and Jerry
(Susan) Swan of Temperance, MI. Sister,
Marlene Butterfield of Toledo, OH and 9
grandchildren.
Visitation
will be from 2-9 pm Thursday in the Michael
W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Road
(at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral
services will be held Friday at 11:00 am.
Interment will follow at Erie Union Cemetery
, Erie Twp., MI. Memorials may be made to
the Children's Shriners Hospitals. The family
