Lloyd
V. Simmons, age 85 years of Temperance,
MI, died Saturday, September 8, 2007 at
The Toledo Hospital. Born May 29, 1922 in
Charlevoix, MI, he was the son of Lloyd
and Mary (Ryan ) Simmons. A US Navy veteran
of WWII, he married Angela Hrouda on May
29, 1954. She preceded him in death on Dec.
5, 2006 . Lloyd was employed as a Salesman
for Dun & Bradstreet for 31 years, retiring
in 1984. He was a charter member of Our
Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Temperance,
MI. He was also a member of Toastmasters
International, Toledo Kiwanis, American
Legion, 514, Ida, V.F.W., 3925, Erie and
the Bedford Beautification Committee. He
participated in Mobile Meals, and was a
walker scorer for the Jamie Farr Classic.
Lloyd enjoyed hunting, fishing, golf and
bowling.

are his loving children, Bryan (Ninette)
Simmons of Temperance, MI, James (Marcia)
Simmons of Margate, FL and Candice (Kevin)
Hagerty of Weston, FL. Brother, Robert (
Dee ) Simmons of San Diego, CA. 7 grandchildren,
Dustin, Jessica, and Alexander Simmons,
Jenna, Alyssa, Dayna and Kyle Hagerty and
his 4 legged companion, K.C. Lloyd was also
preceded in death by his sister, Nancy Swartz.
Friends
may call from 4-9 pm Thursday at the Michael
W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at
Jackman) Temperance, MI, where scripture
services will be held Thursday at 7:30 pm.
A Memorial Mass will be held Friday at 10:00
am in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church,
Temperance, MI. Fr. Christopher Vasko, officiating.
Memorials may be made to the charity of
the donor's choice.
