LaVern
M. Showalter, age 69 years of Temperance,
MI, went to be with the Lord on Sunday,
Nov. 11, 2007 at Arbors of Oregon, Oregon,
OH. Born Sept. 26, 1938 in Toledo, OH, he
was the son of Herbert H. and Minnie I.
(McCloskey) Showalter. LaVern was a drywaller
for over 20 years, retiring in the early
1980's.
LaVern
is survived by several children. Sister,
Mary Ann Witfoth of Erie, MI and brothers,
Dean (Nancy) and Wayne “Gene” Showalter,
both of Temperance, MI. Sister in law, Ruth
Showalter of Toledo, OH. He was preceded
in death by his parents and 1 brother, Herbert
Showalter, Jr.
At
his request, there will be no visitation
or services. Memorials may be made to Heartland
Hospice, 3450 W. Central Ave., Toledo, OH.
