With his son and daughter by his side, Clarence L. Schuster, age 86 years of Toledo, OH, went to be with the Lord and his loving wife, Grace on Saturday, July 11, 2009 at Ebeid Hospice Residence, Sylvania, OH. Born Jan. 20, 1923 in Mio, Michigan, he was the son of Frank and Martha (Reith) Schuster. A WWII Army veteran, he married
Grace Raisch on Aug. 31, 1946. She preceded him in death on June 7, 2007. He was a member of the Eleanor Kahle Senior Center and a faithful member of Liberty Baptist Church. After Clarence retired from Sheller Globe he loved to hop on a Greyhound Bus and head to Florida, where he would stay a couple of months and visit with his son and family. He loved animals and fed the stray cats, raccoons and possums that came to his back door looking for food. One of his joys was to play with his twin great grandsons, Noah and Nathan. He was also preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, and 2 brothers,
He leaves behind to cherish his memories, sons, Clarence L. (Cherie) Schuster of Jacksonville, FL, Larry (Deborah) Schuster of Hilliard, OH and daughter Debra (John) Shoemaker of Toledo, OH. Brother, Robert Schuster and sister, Lydia Tucker. 8 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday, July 15 from 2-4 and 6-9 pm at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Thursday, July 16, at Liberty Baptist Church, 5501 Jackman Rd., Toledo, OH, where he will lie in state after 10:00 am. Interment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park, Toledo, OH. Memorials may be made to Liberty Baptist Church or Ebeid Hospice Residence, c/o Promedica Hospice, 383 West Dussel Drive, Maumee, OH 43537. The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at Ebeid Hospice Residence for the loving care given to our Dad during his illness.
