Margaret (Morton)
Schoonover, age 80 years of Hudson, MI,
died Saturday, September 23, 2006 in her
home. Born May 7, 1926 in Palmyra, MI, she
was daughter of Leland and Mina (Armentrout)
Cottrill. She married Garnie Morton on Oct.
10, 1942 in Napoleon, OH. He preceded her
in death on Oct. 12, 1969 . Margaret was
a nurse's aide at Bixby Hospital for 17
years, retiring in 1985. She then worked
for the Hudson Community Center for several
years, retiring 2001. She had also attended
Thornhill Baptist Church in Hudson,MI.
Surviving
are her loving sons, Jerry (Mary) Morton
of Gibson City, IL, Steve (Earlynn) Morton
of West Chester, OH, Tim Morton of Hamilton,
AL, Patrick (Lisa) Morton of Conroe, TX
and Roger (Ann) Morton of Tucson, AZ. Brother,
Lewis “Bud” Cottrill of Homosassa Springs,
FL, 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
She was also preceded in death by her stepson,
Roland Morton and 4 sisters.
Memorial
services will be held Saturday, September
30, 2006 at 1:00 pm in the Thornhill Baptist
Church, Hudson, MI. Pastor Elton Spurgeon,
officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials
may be made to Great Lakes Hospice, Jackson,
MI.
