Ward "Red" Russell, age 65 years of Temperance, MI, died Monday in The Toledo Hospital. Born May 11, 1943 in Ironton, OH, he was the son of Clarence and Almeda (Wilson) Russell. He married Sharon Vance on January 23, 1964 in Russell, KY. Ward was employed by the former Toledo Blank Company for 19 years, retiring in 2001. Prior he worked for the Dana Corporation. He was an avid deer hunter and also enjoyed four wheeling, snowmobiling and working around his home.

Surviving are his loving wife, Sharon. Daughters, Laura (Matthew) Mathias and Tina (Mark) Lee. Grandchildren, Matthew& Stephen Mathias and Glenn, Christopher & Mark “Tony” Lee. Brothers, Milton (Marie), Johnny (Jeraldine), David (Maryann), and Danny (Debbie) Russell. Sisters, Lavada (John) Hall, Betty (Orville) France and Dreama (Elvis) Irvan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters and 6 brothers. Visitation will be from 3-8 pm Thursday at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park, LaSalle, MI. Memorials may be made to the St. Jude’s Children Hospital.
