Raymond
“Cal” Ruffing, age 79 years
of Lambertville, MI, died Tuesday, August
31, 2004 in his home. Born Feb. 15,
1925 in Bellevue, OH, he was the son of
Raymond
and Catherine (Cook) Ruffing, Sr. A
WWII Army veteran, he married Carol Brown
on
June 29, 1978 in Sylvania, OH. He was
the assistant branch manager for American
States
Insurance Co. in Toledo for 30 years,
retiring in 1994. Cal was a licensed funeral
director
and embalmer and had worked for Foos
and Son Funeral Home in Bellevue, OH and
also
Clegg Funeral Home in Toledo. He was
also a member of the V.F.W. Post 3925 in
Erie.
Cal is survived by his loving wife, Carol.
Son, Daniel Ruffing. Daughter, Catherine
(Bruce) Fagerman. Brother, John Ruffing
and Sister, Marguerite O’Donnell.
Friends
may call from 2-9 p.m. Thursday in the Michael
W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Road,
(at Jackman), where funeral services will
be held Friday at 9:15 a.m. with Mass of
Christian Burial following at 10:00 a.m.
in St. Clement Catholic Church in Toledo.
Fr. Steve Schroeder, officiating. Memorials
may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio
or charity of the donors choice. |
