Richard
“Dick” E. Remley, Sr., 76 years of Toledo,
died Thursday, June 26, 2008 in his home.
Born November 1, 1931 in Cincinnati, Ohio,
he was the son of Albert and Ethel (Parrish)
Remley. A U. S. Army veteran of the Korean
War, he married Joyce McIntosh on March
3, 1951 in Cincinnati, OH. Dick was employed
as a truck driver for Roadway Express for
29 years, known as the CB handle “Toledo
Streaker” and drove over 3 ½ million
safe miles. He retired in 1991. Dick was
also a member of the Teamsters, Local 20
where he was a past union steward for Roadway
Express. He then worked for ARCA & NASCAR
from 1992-2001. Dick and his wife, Joyce
owned the Club 24/Northtown Lounge from
1984 – 2001. An avid fisherman, he was a
member of Barton-Smith Lodge, F.& A.M.
and the Zenobia Temple, where he was active
in the Temple Guard.
Surviving
are his loving wife, Joyce. Son, James (Kathleen)
Remley of Toledo. Daughters, Sandra Pearce
of Myrtle Beach, SC and Jewell Pickerel
of Toledo. 9 grandchildren, David &
Jason Lipps, Brad Pearce, David, Jacob,
Levi Pickerel, Angelica, Kasey & Shelby
Remley. 3 great grandchildren, Brock and
Blaze Pearce & Jason Lipps, Jr. He was
preceded in death by his parents, son, Richard
Remley, Jr. and daughter, Charlotte Lipps.
Friends
may call from 3-7 p.m. Saturday at the Michael
W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at
Jackman), where funeral services will follow
at 7:00 pm. Interment Fairhaven Cemetery,
srael Twp., OH. Memorials

care given to Richard during his illness.
