Florence “Flo” E. Reichow, 89 years of Temperance, MI, died Wednesday, October 13, 2010 in Hickory Ridge of Temperance. Born March 4, 1921 in Sandusky, OH, she was the daughter of Frank and Roma (Herald) Roth. She married John Reichow on Sept. 18, 1948 in Erie, MI. He preceded her in death on April 11, 1990. Florence, better known as “Flo” was employed by Russ’s Lounge (formerly LeRoy’s) in Toledo for over 30 years, retiring in 1986 and had attended Erie United Methodist Church in Erie, MI. She joined the Eva Rebekah Lodge #299 in Lambertville, MI on Nov. 21, 1950, where she served in several offices, among them Guardian, Treasurer, Vice Grand and Noble Grand. She was Past President of the Rebekah Association of District #10 in 1975, where she also served as Treasurer and Vice President.
Florence is survived by her loving children, John (Kathy) Reichow and Lauretta (Robert) Thorn. Grandchildren, Sharon Reichow, Robert (Kelly) Reichow, Daniel, Thomas (Mindy), Mark (Paula), Nicole, Nicholas and Alex Thorn. Great Grandchildren, Avah, Cayle & Preston Reichow, and Natalie & Madison Thorn. Brother, Fred Roth and numerous nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Elmer and Frank Roth and sisters, Dolores Johnson and Virginia Bassler.
Visitation will be from 2-9 pm Friday at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where Eva Rebekah Lodge #299 will hold services Friday at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Reverend Dana Strall, officiating. Interment will follow at Erie Union Cemetery.
