Doris Ella Rasik, age 80 years of Temperance, MI and formerly of Erie, MI, died Wednesday, March 31, 2010 in St. Anne Mercy Hospital, Toledo. Born Dec. 19, 1929 in Erie, MI, she was the daughter of Howard and Myrtle (Hubert) Grodi. A 1947 graduate of Whitmer High School, she married Barney Rasik on Feb. 25, 1950 and together they started and operated Rasik Auto Reconstruction for 37 years, retiring in 1995. He preceded her in death on Sept. 20. 2005. Doris was also a member of the Lambertville United Methodist Church.
Surviving are her loving children, Dean H. (Bonnie) Rasik of St. Cloud, FL, Douglas A. (Kristina) Rasik of Toledo and Brenda (Ronald) Welch of Toledo. Sister, Mary (Norm) Orban of Toledo, OH, 8 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 2-8 pm Friday in the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:00 pm. Rev. Thomas Zimmerman, officiating. The family would like to give a special thank you Rosemarie Osowik, MD and the staff at St. Anne Mercy Hospital. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Lambertville United Methodist Church. |
