Bernard “Barney” Rasik, 78 years of Erie, MI, died Tuesday, September 20, 2005 in his home. Born May 15, 1927 in Toledo, OH, he was the son of Felix and Anna (Adamczyk) Rasik. A WWII Navy veteran, Barney married Doris Grodi Feb. 25, 1950 and together they started and operated Rasik Auto Reconstruction for 37 years, retiring in 1995. He was a member of the Lambertville United Methodist Church. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, and bowling.

Surviving are his loving wife, Doris. Children, Dean H. (Bonnie) Rasik of St. Cloud, FL, Douglas A. (Kris) Rasik of Toledo and Brenda (Ron) Welch of Toledo. Sister, Rosemarie Szazowski of Toledo, 8 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Felix Jr. and sister, Dorothy.

 

Friends may call from 2-9 pm Friday in the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 11:00 am. Rev. Thomas Zimmerman, officiating. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio or the Lambertville United Methodist Church. The family wishes to thank Hospice of Northwest Ohio for their loving tender care during Barney's illness.
