| David W. O’Neill, age 47 of Temperance, MI, died Tuesday, November 04, 2008 in St. Anne Mercy Hospital, Toledo, OH after battling cancer for the past 2 years. Born, January 23, 1961 in Monroe, MI, he was the son of James and Virginia (Ravary) O’Neill. A 1979 graduate of Mason Consolidated Schools in Erie, MI, he married Michelle LaPointe on Sept. 20, 1986 in St. Joseph Catholic Church in Erie, MI. David was employed for the last 22 years by Zurn Industries in Oregon, OH. He was a member of the American Snowmobile Association, and Hunters Club. He enjoyed everything from hunting, fishing, snowmobiling and four wheeling at his cottage in Lewiston, MI. David lived and died with great courage and was truly a dedicated example for others. Surviving are his loving wife of 22 years, Michelle O’Neill. Daughters, Casey Runyon-O’Neill, (US Navy) and Crystal O’Neill. Granddaughter, Mykayla Runyon. Parents, James and Virginia O’Neill. Brothers, Kenneth (Bethan) O’Neill and Denny (Renee) O’Neill and Sister, Debbie (Bruce) Hine. Visitation will be from 2-8 pm Sunday at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI. Services will be private. Memorials may be made to Motts Children’s Hospital at the University of Michigan. You will always be our hero, your loving family.
