Olmstead, age 68 years of Erie, MI, entered
the Kingdom of Heaven while in the arms
of her loving husband of 50 years, Franklyn
“Jac” Olmstead on Wednesday, August 1, 2007
in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo,
OH. Born Oct. 15, 1938 in Toledo, OH, she
was the daughter of Chester and Lottie (Thomas)
Pawlak. A 1956 graduate of Harriett Whitney
High School, she married Franklyn Olmstead
April 27, 1957 in Toledo, OH. She was employed
by Mason Consolidated Schools as a custodian
for 25 years, retiring in 1996. Sharon enjoyed
spending time at their cottage with family
and friends at Hemlock Lake in Hillsdale
County, MI. Every other weekend was family
time at the lake. She also enjoyed flower
gardening and home decorating.
Sharon
is survived by her loving husband, Franklyn
“Jac” Olmstead. Daughters, Lori (Mark) Barnes
of Southgate, MI , Shari (David) Browder
and Mindi (Alan) Morrison, both of Perrysburg,
OH. Grandchildren, Hayley Winkelman, Allison
Morrison and Michael Browder. Great grandson,
Ashton Beachner. Sisters, Vickie Pawlak
Schonter and Mary (Ray) Byrne, both of Toledo,
OH.
Visitation
will be from 3-9 pm Friday at the Michael
W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at
Jackman) Temperance, MI, where the Rosary
will be prayed Friday at 7:00 pm. Mass of
Christian Burial will be Saturday at 10:00
am at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Erie,
MI, where she will lie in state after 9:30
am. Entombment will follow at Toledo Memorial
Park, Sylvania, OH. Memorials may be made
to the Sunshine Children's Home.
