Patricia
A. Oehlers ,
60, of Temperance, Michigan passed
away
Sunday, December 19, 2004, at Lake Park
in Sylvania, Ohio, surrounded by her
family
and loved ones. Patricia was blessed
with an incredible mother, Dorothy
Oehlers, who
cared for her and made certain that all
of her daily needs were met. Pat graduated
from Bedford High School in 1962. She
dedicated her working career to the
DeVilbiss Company
for over 28 years in the Accounting Department.
In her later years, Pat worked in the
Deli
Department at the local Meijer's Store.
Pat
was a life long member of the Saint
Paul's
Evangelical Lutheran Church in Temperance,
Michigan. She taught Sunday School
and was
a member of the Lutheran Church Women's
(LCW) Group. Pat was also on Church
Council.
For over fifty years, Pat was a member
of the church choir because she loved
music,
singing and the fellowship of her choir
family.
Pat
was a supporter and member of the Temperance
Lioness Club. She loved to travel and
has been to places including the Caribbean,
Haiti, Florida and Frankenmuth. Pat also
enjoyed shopping and especially loved
finding
gifts for her niece Amber.
Her
father, Edward M. Oehlers, preceded Patricia
in death. She is survived by her mother
Dorothy Oehlers. Also surviving are her
brother Larry (Caroline) Oehlers, sisters
Marlene (John) Irwin and Cheryl (Doug) Clarkson.
Nieces and nephews include special niece
Amber Clarkson, Steven Wolfe, Scott (Wendy)
Wolfe, Scotty Wolfe, Alexis Wolfe, John
(Allison) Irwin, Jennifer (Rob) Trost, Lauren
Trost and Kaitlyn Trost. Also surviving
are Pat's special friend and cousin Sharon
Oehlers Georgopoolos, cousins Ronnie (Joan)
Oehlers and Nick (Michele) Oehlers and their
children. Pat also leaves many loved aunts,
uncles and special friends.
Friends
may call from 2-9 p.m. Wednesday at the Pawlak
Funeral Home located at 1640 Smith Road (at
Jackman Road) Temperance, Michigan. (734-850-5000)
Funeral services will be held on Thursday,
December 23, 2004 at 10:00 am at the Saint
Paul 's Evangelical Lutheran Church
located at 9144 Lewis Avenue , Temperance,
Michigan , where she will lie in state after
9:00 a.m. (734-847-3400) Pastor Rodney K.
Haselhuhn will be officiating the ceremony.
Remembrances can be made to the Saint Paul's
Lutheran Church in memory of Patricia Oehlers
or donations can be made to the Diabetes Foundation.
The family wishes to thank the many friends
who gave so much support and love to Pat.
