Joseph “Joe” Nusbaum, age 84 of Temperance, MI, died Sunday, March 14, 2010 in Aspen Grove Assisted Living, Lambertville, MI. Born Dec. 17, 1925 in Toledo, OH, he was the son of Joseph and Mary Nusbaum. A 1943 graduate of the former Lambertville High School, he was a US Navy veteran of WWII. He married Dorothy Brisky on Aug. 5, 1950 in St. Anthony Catholic Church in Temperance, MI, where he was a member. She preceded him in death on Nov. 13, 2007. Joe was employed for over 30 years for the Chrysler Corporation (Jeep) retiring in 1977. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 11430 and the Bedford Senior Center.
Surviving are her loving son, William (Marie Adamski) Nusbaum of Mears, MI. Grandchildren, Heather (Eric Johnson) Nusbaum, Joseph Nusbaum and Stacey (Michael) Mascarro. Great grandchildren, Rowdy and Reese Mascarro. Joe was preceded in death by his parents and 2 sisters, Jane and Lorraine Nusbaum.
Visitation will be from 3-9 pm Wednesday at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where scripture services will be held Wednesday at 7:00 pm followed immediately by the Rosary lead by the Knights of Columbus, Council 11430. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 11:30 am in St. Anthony Catholic Church in Temperance, where he will lie in state after 10:30 am. Fr. Daniel Nusbaum, officiating, Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Erie West Hospice. |
