Angelita B. Nieuwkoop, 76 years of Temperance, MI, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, July 12, 2005 in her home. Born August 7, 1928 in San Antonio, TX, she was the daughter of Antonio and Casimira (Briseno) Martinez. She married Anthony Nieuwkoop on July 29, 1949 in Clarksville, MI. She was a member of the Bedford Missionary Alliance Church in Temperance, MI and had also been an active Den Mother for the Cub Scouts. Angie also enjoyed reading her Bible, doing word finds and was a big fan of the Detroit Tigers.

Surviving are her loving husband, Anthony. Sons, Thomas (Debra) Nieuwkoop of Waterford, MI, William & Robert Nieuwkoop, both of Temperance, MI. Brothers, Alex (Maria) Martinez of San Antonio, TX and Antonio (Marcella)Martinez of Grand Rapids, MI. Granddaughters, Tiffany (Brian) Hyttinen, Lindsey and Angela Nieuwkoop. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Arthur Martinez.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday, July 23, 2005 at the Bedford Missionary Alliance Church at 2:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Bedford Alliance Building Fund. Arrangements by the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, Temperance, MI.
