| R.J.
Nicholson, age 79 years of Temperance, MI,
died Wednesday, July 4, 2007 at the Hospice
of Northwest Ohio, Toledo Center . Born
April 21, 1928 in Mt. Pleasant , MI , he
was the son of Floyd and Gretchen ( Harrison
) Nicholson. A WWII Marine Corp veteran,
he married Alicia Sayre on Jan. 30, 1954
in Toledo, OH. R.J. was a truck driver for
Arkansas Best Freight System for 34 years,
retiring in 1985. A friend to all, he had
a passion for wood carving, hunting and
fishing.
Surviving
are his loving wife, Alicia. Children, Wendy
(Terry) White of Ottawa Lake, MI, Darryl
(Janis) Nicholson of Temperance, MI, and
Connie (Jeffery) Barron of Ottawa Lake,
MI. Sister, Marilousine Rasik of St. Louis,
MI . 10 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
Visitation
will be held Friday from 2-9 pm at the Michael
W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Road
(at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral
services will be held Saturday at 2:00 pm.
Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial
Park. Memorials may be made to Hospice of
Northwest Ohio.
