Mary Beth Newsome, age 45 years of Santiago, Dominican Republic, died Friday, September 18, 2009 in Twin Falls, ID in her sister’s home. Born Feb. 17, 1964 in Monroe, MI, she was the daughter of Frederick B. and Mildred G (Hollingsworth) Newsome. She was a 1982 graduate of Jefferson High School in Monroe. MI. She received her Bachelor’s of Education from Cedarville University and had completed some post graduate work at Eastern Michigan University. Mary was a teacher for the Santiago Christian School in Santiago, Dominican Republic since 2004. Prior, she taught for Reading High School in Reading, MI for 8 years. Surviving are her brothers, Dave (Mary) Newsome of Trenton, GA, Mark (Beth) Newsome of Ooltewah, TN and Paul (Cindy) Newsome of Temperance, MI. Sisters, Becky (Bob) Baird of Twin Fall, ID and Deb Newsome of The Gambia, West Africa. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be from 4-7 pm Saturday at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will be Sunday at 3:00 pm. Interment will follow at Whiteford Union Cemetery. Memorials may be to the Santiago Christian School. |
