Adolf Mueller, age 84 of Temperance, MI, died Tuesday, October 7, 2008 in St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center, Toledo, OH.  Born Aug. 13, 1924 in Murrhardt, Germany, he was the son of Johann G. and Frieda (Tritt) Mueller. He was a pilot in the German army during WWII. After the war he moved to Canada then the United States.  Adolf then married Mary “Betty” E. Uhl on May 19, 1956 in Rosary Cathedral in Toledo, OH.  He was a tool and die maker for GM Powertrain for 30 years, retiring in 1987.  Prior, he worked for Henzler Manufacturing. Adolf was a charter member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church in Temperance, MI.  He was also a member of the U.A.W., Local 14, Toledo Schwaben Verein,   German American Festival, Bavarian Club, Greater Beneficial Union and a former member of American Turners, all in Toledo, OH.
He enjoyed traveling back to his hometown in Germany to visit his numerous family and friends.  He was an avid gardener, euchre player, fisherman, and hunter.

Surviving are his loving wife of 52 years, Mary “Betty” E. Mueller.  Children, Laurence “Bink” (Linda) Mueller of Toledo, OH, Elizabeth Ann Mueller and John E. (Marcia) Mueller, both of Denver, CO. 3 grandchildren, Staci Fletcher, Jonathan Mueller and Gianna Mueller.  Great grandson, Nathan Flis.

Visitation will be from 3-9 pm Friday at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where the rosary will be prayed Friday at 7:30 pm.  Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Saturday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, where he will lie in state after 9:00 am.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Toledo Schwaben Verein
