| Corleen A. Michalski, age 73 years of Toledo, OH, died Monday, September 22, 2008 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo Center. Born June 8, 1935 in Toledo, OH, she was the daughter of James and Cecilia (Threm) Gerity. She married Daniel Michalski on August 2, 1952 in St. Agnes Catholic Church, Toledo, OH. She worked as a secretary for several Toledo businesses before finding her passion, babysitting her grandchildren. She was a member of St. Clement Catholic Church, where she was active in the Alter Rosary Society. She also was a member of the American Legion, Conn-Weissenberger, Post, Ladies Auxiliary, St. Vincent DePaul 55 Plus, T.A.P.S., and I.M.A. She enjoyed playing games, cooking, sewing and dancing. She played Pinochle monthly with a special group of friends for over 55 years.
Surviving are her loving husband, Daniel for 56 years. Children, Cheryl (Richard) Beroske, Timothy (Sharon) Michalski, Laureen (Dennis) Piechorowski, and Rebecca (Steve) Chavalia. Grandchildren, Ashley(Brent), Justin, Kelly, Dane, Tiffany, Shelby, Jace, Nathan, Karlie, and Jacklyn. Brother, Gerald (Carol) Gerity. Corleen was preceded in death by a sister, Jeanette Gerity and 2 brothers, James and Raymond Gerity.
Visitation will be from 2-9 pm Wednesday at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where the Rosary will be prayed Wednesday at 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 9:15 am in the funeral home with Mass of Christian Burial following at 10:00 am in St. Clement Catholic Church. Entombment will follow at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park, Toledo, OH. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio. |
