| Mavis, Wiley, age 90 years of Lambertville, MI, died Tuesday, August 19, 2008 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo, OH. Born June 17, 1918 in North Dakota, he was the son of Albert and Bertha (Balser) Mavis. A WWII Army veteran, he married Nellie Gooding on August 24, 1936 in Angola, IN. She preceded him in death on August 8, 1998. He worked for AP Parts for over 20 years, retiring in 1983.
He is survived by 2 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Nephew, Ronald (Carol) Mavis. He was also preceded in death by a son, Larry Mavis and daughter, Rosalie Mavis. There will be no services or visitation. Arrangements by the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, Temperance, MI. Don’t grieve for me for now I’m free, I’ve lived a good lifef for 90 years.
