Opal
Martin, 87 years of Toledo, OH, died Sunday,
Sept. 19, 2004 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio,
Toledo. Born Feb. 19, 1917 in Friendsville,
TN, she was the daughter of Dock and Hattie
(Wells) Smith. The widow of Theodore Martin,
Opal attended Emmanuel Baptist Church for
the past 10 years in Toledo, where she was
active in the Ladies Alone group.
She
is survived by her loving children, William
Martin of Toledo, James (Karen) Martin of
Ottawa Lake, MI, Betty (John) Odom of Toledo
and David (Shirley) Martin of Toledo and
10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by 2 sisters and
1 brother.
Friends
may call from 2-4;6-9 pm. Monday in the
Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith
Road (one mile north of Alexis), where funeral
services will be held Tuesday at 10:00 a.m.
Rev. Charles Vermilyea, visitation pastor
of Emmanuel Baptist Church, officiating.
Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial
Park. Memorials may be made to Hospice of
Northwest Ohio. |
