| Robert
“Bob” J. Malik, age 63 years of Temperance,
MI, died Tuesday, November 28, 2006 in The
Toledo Hospital, Toledo, OH. Born Oct. 22,
1943 in Toledo, OH, he was the son of Frank
and Alice (Kaifas) Malik. In 1961, he graduated
from St. Francis de Sales High School in
Toledo. Following graduation, he attended
St. Joseph College in Rensselaer, IN. He
married Janet Scharosch on Sept. 18, 1965
in Mansfield, OH. Bob was the owner/operator
for Malik Tool & Die in Toledo for 35
years, retiring in 2000. He was also a broadcaster
for several years for radio and television
in the Toledo area, including Bowling for
Dollars, The Jerry Lewis Telethon, the Bob
and Bob Morning Show with Bob Kelly on WCWA,
and was the voice of Black Jack the Crow.
He was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel
Catholic Church in Temperance, MI, and the
Eagles, 197 in Toledo, OH. Bob was an avid
bowler for the past 40 years, holding numerous
officers position's for several leagues
in the Toledo area. He also enjoyed watching
the Cleveland Browns & Indians and University
of Michigan Football.
Surviving
are his loving wife, Janet. Children, Julie
( Milan ) Parikh of Redwood City, CA and
Kenneth Malik of Atlanta, Georgia. Mother,
Alice Malik of Toledo, OH. Brother, Marvin
Malik of Toledo, OH. 2 grandchildren, Alexa
and Samantha Parikh and family friend, Virginia
Beals of Toledo, OH. Bob was preceded in
death by his father, Frank Malik and family
friend, Jeffrey Beals.
Visitation
will be held Friday from 2-9 pm at the Michael
W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Road
(at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where scripture
services will be held Friday at 7:30 pm.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at
10:30 am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic
Church in Temperance, MI, where he will
lie in state after 9:30 am. Interment will
follow in the church cemetery. Memorials
may be made to the church, St. Francis de
Sales High School or The National Institute
of Health.
