Mrs.
Susan (Sue) Maenle, 57, of Temperance Michigan
died Saturday afternoon December 4 th , 2004
at the Toledo Hospital with her Husband and
loving family. She was born April 17 th ,
1947 in Adrian Michigan to Paul Suydam and
Ann (Cline) Lyman.
She
was married to her husband Jim in May of
1964 in Toledo Ohio . She chose to make
a life as a part time working wife and
full time mother and homemaker. She was always
helping people. She had many adopted kids
and Family. One of the many things she enjoyed
in the later stages of her life was camping
with family and friends.
Sue was a woman of many talents. She will
most be remembered for being a dedicated
mother and wife. She also was an expert seamstress.
She worked for many years making custom draperies.
She was very proud of her kids and always
was doing things for them. One of her many
accomplishments was making a quilt for her
youngest daughter Tracy. She won first prize
in the Hillsdale County fair and took second
place in the Michigan state fair. She could
not have completed this with out the help
of her close sister in law Darlene Williams.
She
is survived by her husband of 40 years

A. Maenle, of Monroe MI; Son Thomas (Beth)
J. Maenle, of Erie MI; Daughter Tammy (John)
Maenle Miller, of Temperance MI; Daughter
Tracy Maenle of Toledo OH; and 7 grandchildren
Chelsea, Chad, Jake, Tylre, Nash, Shane and
Autumn; Step-grandchildren, Nick and Tiffany.
Mother Ann Layman of Lakeland , FL ; Sisters
Pat (Patrick) Stewart, Kathy (John) Adams,
Brothers, Jeff “Todd” (Ruth) Mowery and Jack
(Connie) Suydam. She was preceded in death
by her father Paul Suydam, and stepmother
Leona.
Friends may call from 6-9 p.m. Monday and
2-9 p.m. Tuesday at Pawlak Funeral home,
1640 Smith road, (at Jackman) Temperance
MI, where funeral services will be held Wednesday
at 10:00 a.m. Interment Lenawee Hills Memorial
Park Cemetery, Adrian MI. Rev. Jerry Craig,
pastor of Hopewell Wesleyan Church, officiating.
Memorials may take the form of contributions
to the Michigan ALS Society, 21311 Civic
Center Dr. Suite 200 , Southfield , MI 48076.
The family would like to thank her sister
in law Darlene Williams for her help and
dedication in the final months of Sue's life.
We would also like to thank the Michigan
ALS Society, Toledo MDA Society, the nurses
of the fifth floor Flower Hospital and all
of Sue's extended family. |
