| Elizabeth “Liz” Lykowski, age 21 years of Ottawa Lake, MI, died Sunday, October 5, 2008 in Ft. Wayne, IN. Born Oct. 27, 1986 in Toledo, OH, she was the daughter of Joseph and Terri (Myers) Lykowski. A 2005 graduate from Whiteford High School in Ottawa Lake, MI, she was a varsity basketball, volleyball and softball player. Elizabeth was currently attending Indiana Tech as a senior, receiving her Bachelors of Business Administration with a major in Human Resources and a minor in Coaching. She was a 4 year varsity volleyball player for the Indiana Tech Warriors. She was a member of St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Temperance, MI, and was an active 4-H member through the Progress Seekers Club. Elizabeth was a loving daughter, sister, aunt, granddaughter and friend to many.
Surviving are her loving parents, Joseph and Terri Lykowski of Ottawa Lake, MI. Brothers, Joshua (Dawn) Lykowski of Toledo, OH, Daniel (Lacosta) Lykowski of Everett, Washington and Joseph (Carrie) Lykowski, Jr. of Auburn, Michigan. Nephews, Logan and Ethan Lykowski. Grandparents, Jacob and Ann Myers of Temperance, MI, and Raymond and Joyce Lykowski of Temperance, MI. She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Dorothy Lykowski.
Visitation will be from 2-9 pm Thursday at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI. Funeral services will be Friday at 11:00 in St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Temperance, where she will lie in state after 10:00 am. Pastor Frank Paine, officiating. Interment will follow in Whiteford Union Cemetery. Memorials may be made to future athletic scholarships at Whiteford High School and Indiana Tech.
