Donald
“Don” C. Lonsway, age 73 years of Temperance,
MI and formerly of Toledo, OH, died Sunday,
October 28, 2007 in his home. Born, Sept.
21, 1934 in Temperance, MI, he was the son1
of Cletus and Elsie (Cousino) Lonsway. A
1952 graduate of Monroe High School, he
married Sue Ellen Stuart on July 18, 1959
in Toledo, OH. Don was employed as a machinist
for 22 years for the former National Cement
Company in Toledo. After his retirement,
Don went into full time ministry with S.O.W.E.R.S.
for the past 11 years.
Surviving
are his loving wife, Sue Ellen. Children,
Michael Lonsway of Warren, MI, Jeffery (Nan)
Lonsway of Erie, MI, Don Lonsway of Erie,
MI, Kelly (Matt) Avery of Parrish, FL, and
Lisa Bomia of Toledo, OH and 16 grandchildren.
Don had 3 children from a previous marriage,
Donald Lonsway, Jr. of Texas , Patricia
Ann (Mike) Martin of Monroe, MI and Darlene
Menard of Toledo, OH and several grandchildren
and great grandchildren. Brother, O'Dell
Lonsway of Erie, MI and Sister, Bernadine
Strack of Ida, MI.
Visitation
will be from 3-9 pm Tuesday at the Michael
W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at
Jackman) Temperance, MI, where a going home
celebration will be held Wednesday at 11:00
am. Rev. Andy Hill, officiating. Interment
will follow at Historic Woodlawn Cemetery,
Toledo, OH. The family would like to thank
Elizabeth, Donna, chaplain Mary and the
entire staff of Heartland Hospice for being
God's angels on earth. Memorials may be
