Michael
Lohse, born May 15, 1954 in Wauseon, OH,
passed away at his home in Toledo. His family
includes his mother Doris and step-father,
Luther Reinking of Wauseon. David is the
only sibling and lives in Toledo. Michael
has cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends
known; and strangers who were unknown friends.
Michael was preceded in death by his father,
Robert (Jake) Lohse. Both Robert (Jake)
and Michael fought and suffered Huntington’s
Disease with powerful determination to the
very end.
Michael graduated from Wauseon High School
in 1972. He enjoyed friends and his participation
in sports. He attended Bowling Green
State University and the University of Toledo.
He
had a vision to become a commercial pilot.
It became a reality for only a short time
because of this hideous illness. Michael
was also a union carpenter.
A compassionate community gave Michael a
benefit to make it possible for him to have
a better life. The last six years have been
a struggle but tolerable and some enjoyment.
Thank You! You have done so much.
Doctors have done all they can and now The
Lord has taken Mike home. How beautiful
Heaven must be! Michael was a Christian.
He also was a sinner. His baptism and confirmation
were seeds to his faith and peace; which
grew as he traveled down this rough road.
Memorial service will be held at Emmaus
Lutheran Church in Wauseon, Sunday, Sept.
26, 2004 at 4:00 p.m. Pastor Lutz, officiating.
Memorials may be made to the Huntington
Disease Society of America (H.D.S.A.) Toledo
Chapter or Emmaus Lutheran Church. Arrangements
by the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home (734)
850-5000. |
