Norman G. Leach, 94 years of Temperance, MI, died Monday, June 7, 2010 in Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Toledo, OH. Born March 21, 1916 in Cleveland, OH, he was the son of Norman J. and Belle (Kruzer) Leach. He married Mary Pitts in 1935, she preceded him in death in 1958. He then married Rosella Peugeot in 1959 and she preceded him in death in 2009. Norman retired as a sales engineer for Norman Leach Associates in Louisville, Ky. Prior, he worked for Doehler Jarvis as head design engineer in Toledo, Ohio. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Louisville, KY, Zenobia Shrine and Ft. Industry Lodge, F. & A.M., both in Toledo. Norman had a positive effect on everyone he met because of his love of God and family. Countless people were blessed by his gifts of hand made wooden crosses, each one lovingly hand rubbed until they were as smooth as silk.
He is survived by his loving children, David (Ivy) Leach of Toledo, OH, Jan Hadley of Louisville, KY and James (Donna) Leach of Louisville, KY, Sheralyn (Paul) Smith of Temperance, MI, Charlene (Robert) Mathews of Palm Bay, FL, 15 Grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. Special thanks to the caring staff at Hospice of Northwest Ohio and to "Norm's girls", Andrea McVicker, Cathy Sattler and Roberta Smith.
Memorial services will be Saturday, July 10th at 2:30 P.M. at Emmanuel Baptist Church in Toledo Oh. Pastor Dennis Lee, officiating. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio. Arrangements by Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, Temperance, MI. |
