Bernard
“Bernie” Langford, age 65 years of Lambertville,
MI, went to be with the Lord on Sunday,
August 5, 2007 in The Toledo Hospital. Born
Aug. 24, 1941 in Middlesboro, KY, he was
the son of Virgil and Macie (Reed) Langford.
A US Army veteran, he married Sharon Stearns
on Jan. 5, 2002 in Fostoria, OH. Bernie
was employed as a tool maker for GM Powertrain
for over 33 years, retiring in 2004. Prior,
he worked for Ort Tool & Die and Walker
Manufacturing, where he served his apprenticeship.
He was a member of the U.A.W., Local #14
in Toledo. Bernie enjoyed playing guitar,
country and ballroom dancing, and golfing.
He had a love for nature and traveling.
He was a wonderful and loving husband, father
and grandfather and will be sadly missed.
Surviving
are his wife, Sharon. Children, Dennis Langford
and Deanna (Mike) McBride both of Toledo,
OH. Grandchildren, Dustin Langford, Kylee
and Haylee McBride. Brother, Robert (Blauma)
Langford of Monroe, MI. Sisters, Wilma Teague
of Carleton, MI and Maxine (Jerry) Ferguson
of Woodhaven, MI.
Visitation
will be held Thursday from 3-9 pm at the
Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith
Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral
services will be held Friday at 11:00 am.
Interment will follow at Toledo Memorial
Park, Sylvania, OH. Memorials may be made
to the American Heart Association.
To
my dear husband, we only had a few years
together, but we found so much love, laughter,
tenderness and devotion for each other.
You are my best friend. Sharon .
