Esther King, 55 years of Luna Pier, MI, died Friday in her home. Born July 8, 1950 in Monroe County, MI, she was the daughter of Patrick and Alma (Tigner) Vance. She married Clarence L. King, Sr. on June 19, 1965 in Clintwood, WV . Esther was employed as a custodian for the City of Luna Pier and the Super 8 Motel. Prior, she was employed as head cook 13 years for L.I.F.E. at the Luna Pier Senior Center. She was a member of the American Legion, Aux., Post 193, Luna Pier and a past member of the WOTM Lodge 884. She enjoyed going to the casino's and enjoyed playing cards with her family and friends.

Surviving are her loving husband, Clarence, Sr. Sons, Bud King and Douglas (Michelle) King. Brothers, Joe Vance and James (Joann) Vance. Sisters, Betty Witfoth, Margaret ( Larry) Armstrong, Ida (Raymond) Frankhouse, Fannie Johnston, Lorena (Thomas) DeBruyne , Patricia (Ernie) Nevers, Sharon (Ward) Russell, Gloria ( Gary ) Krueger, Diane (William) McCormick, Shirley (Jack) Minton and Joann (David) Cluckey. Grandchildren, Kyle, Kayla, Julia, Nikolas, Collin and Taylor King. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters, and 3 brothers.

Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday in the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park . Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
