Walter
G. Kahn, age 90 years of Temperance,
MI,
died Thursday, October 7, 2004 in his
home. Born Sept. 16, 1914 in Toledo,
OH, he was the son of August and Johanna
(Virgin)
Kahn. He married Thelma Fisher Sept.
6,
1937. She preceded him in death
on June 27, 1998. Walter was employed
by Enterprise
Roofing and Sheet Metal for 20 years,
retiring in 1979. He was a proud honorary
member
of the Ottawa Lake Volunteer Fire Dept.
and the Sheet Metal Workers, Local #6,
receiving
his 60th year pin in 1998.
Walter
is survived by his loving children,
Nancy (Bryce) Babcock of Saline, MI
and Gary (Ann)
Kahn of Ottawa Lake, MI., Sister, Margaret
Sydlaske of Scottsdale, AZ and 5
grandchildren
and 3 great grandchildren.
There
will be no visitation. Funeral services
will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
in the
Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home,
1640 Smith Road (at Jackman) Temperance.
Interment will be private. Memorials
may be made to the Ottawa Lake Volunteer
Fire
