A. Hering, age 89 of Lambertville, MI, died
Tuesday, June 03, 2008 at Sunset Village
, Sylvania , OH . Born July 29, 1918 in
Toledo, OH, she was the daughter of Harry
and Anna Elmer. A 1936 graduate of Woodward
High School , she married Justin Hering
in May of 1938. He preceded her in death
on Dec. 7, 1969. Joan was a member of the
Monroe Street United Methodist Church in
Toledo, Rainbow Girls, and the Y-Matrons.
She was also active in the Woodward High
School 1936 Class Reunion Committee. She
was employed by Associated Anesthesiologists
in Toledo for over 10 years, retiring in
1984.
Surviving
are her loving children, Jeffrey (Cynthia)
Hering of Cortland, NY and Janilyn (Kenneth)
Fox of Toledo, OH. Grandchildren, Carolyn
(Chris) Burton of Richmond, VA, Jarrett
Hering of Annapolis, MD, Kristen Fox of
Cleveland, OH and Joshua Fox of Toledo,
OH. She was also preceded in death by a
brother, William Elmer.
Services
will be private. Memorials may be made to
Sunset Village or the charity of the donor's
choice. The family wishes to extend their
heartfelt thanks to Sunset Village for the
care given to Joan during her stay.
