“Jimmy” A. Heckel, Jr. age 68 years of Sweetwater
TN and formerly of Toledo, OH, died Wednesday
in his home. Born April 5, 1939 in Temperance,
MI, he was the son of Leon and Grace ( Billings
) Heckel, Sr. Leon was baptized at the Trinity
Episcopal Church in Toledo and was a member
for many years. He was attending First Presbyterian
Church in Sweetwater, TN. He enjoyed woodworking
and helping neighbors with yard work.
He
is survived by his loving mother, Grace
F. Heckel of Sweetwater, TN. Sisters, Coranna
(Steve) Broderick, Ethel Condry, Shirley
Randolph, and Karen (Larry) Ivey. Brother,
Jerry C. (Joyce) Heckel. Aunts, Coranna
Bacome and Rose Heckel and many cousins.
He was preceded in death by his father,
grandparents, Jay & Bertha Heckel and
Royal & Florence Billings. Nephew, Jerry
Dean Heckel, Brother in laws, David Zakrezewski
and Denzil Ray Randolph, Sr.
Visitation
will be from 6-9 pm Thursday at the Michael
W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Road
(at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral
services will be held Friday at 11:00 am.
Interment will follow at Restlawn Memorial
Park, Perrysburg, OH. Memorials may be made
to Adventa Hospice Services, 1420 Dutch
Valley Road , Knoxville, TN 37918 .
