“Jim” Heasley, age 87 of Lambertville, MI,
died Monday, June 09, 2008 in The Toledo
Hospital. Born July 24, 1920 in Greensburg,
PA, he was the son of James H. and Rosanna
(Wheeler) Heasley. A US Army Air Force veteran
of WWII and the Korean War, he married Helen
J. Baer on May 13, 1950 at Andrews Air Force
Base. Jim was a quality assurance representative
for 34 years for the US Government – Department
of Defense, retiring in 1982. He was a member
of the Bedford Senior Center, Trilby United
Methodist Church in Toledo, Scottish Rite,
Valley of Youngstown, and a 60 year founding
member of Meander Lodge, #765, F. &A.M.,
in North Jackson, OH. Jim was also past
president of the Bedford High School Athletic
Boosters and was an avid golfer. He
is survived by his loving wife, Helen. Sons,
Donald (Camille) Heasley of Westerville,
OH, Douglas (Susan) Heasley of Lambertville,
MI and Bruce (Judy) Heasley of Norristown,
PA, 6 grandchildren and 1 great grandson.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Merle
Heasley and a sister, Luella Gearhart. Visitation
will be from 4-9 pm Wednesday at the Michael
W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd. Temperance,
MI, where funeral services will be held
Thursday at 10:00 am. Memorials may be made
to Trilby United Methodist Church , Toledo,
OH.
