Dorothy E. Green, age 93 of Temperance, MI, died Saturday, October 30, 2010. Born March 25, 1917 in Temperance, MI, she was the daughter of J.W. and Sadie (Kerstetter) Grant. A 1935 graduate of Temperance High School, she married Woodrow H. Scott on June 19, 1936, he preceded her in death on April 28, 1959. She then married Kenneth Green on November 29, 1968, and he preceded her in death on August 26, 198. Dorothy was employed as a bookkeeper by Babcock Dairy and the Former Francis Foods. She also had attended Bedford Christian Community Church. She was also preceded in death by a son, Roger Scott and brother, Rowland Grant.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Sue Ann (Thomas) Cairl, Daughter-in-law, Loann Garno. Step-children, Debra Green and Marty Green. 7 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm Wednesday at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, LLC, 1640 Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where funeral services will follow at 1:00 pm. Pastor Nate Elarton, pastor of Bedford Christian Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Erie Union Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Senior Independence Hospice or Parkcliffe Alzheimer’s Community. |
