Donald
“Don” A. Fisher, age 79 of Hudson, MI and
formerly of Lambertville and Petersburg,
MI, died Monday in his home. Born May 15,
1929 in Lambertville, MI, he was the son
of Harry W. and Irene E. (Collier) Fisher.
A US Army veteran of WWII, he married Mary
Jane McNalley on Feb. 18, 1950 in Angola,
IN. Don owned and operated Don Fisher's
Excavating in Lambertville , MI for over
20 years, selling the business in 1984.
He then worked for various excavating companies,
retiring in 1995. He was a member of Liberty
Bible Church in Pittsford, MI, VFW, Post
9656, Lambertville, MI and a lifetime member
of the International Union of Operating
Engineers, Local 324, AFL-CIO, Detroit,
MI.
Surviving
is his loving wife of 58 years, Janie. Children,
Donald (Sandy) Fisher of Atlanta, GA, Bonnie
L. (Terry) Dunton of Temperance, MI, James
(Marty) Fisher of Maumee, OH and Becky Jo
(Brian) Arthur of Clark Lake, MI. Brothers,
Myles Fisher of Kalamazoo, MI and James
Fisher of Petersburg , MI . Sister, Luretha
Cousino of Kentucky . Grandchildren, Vanessa,
Tracy Dunton, Warren and Nolan Arthur, Tonya,
Jamie and Shawna Fisher and 2 great grandsons.
Don was preceded in death by 4 brothers
and 2 sisters.
Visitation
will be held from 2-7 pm on Saturday at
the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640
Smith Rd. (at Jackman) Temperance, MI, where
funeral services will follow at 7:00 pm.
Pastor Samuel Wickard, officiating. Memorials
may be made to Liberty Bible Church or Hospice
of Lenawee.
